Lion Dr. VSVD born in an agricultural family of Krishna District to Smt. Valluru Annapurnamma and Premchand on 5th December 1954. He had his early education in ZP High School, Patamata and Andhra Loyola College, Vijayawada. Subsequently he joined Rangaraya Medical College, Kakinada and obtained his Medical Degree from Andhra University in 1979. He was a Panel Doctor for BHEL (R&D) and AG office, Hyderabad till 1984.subsequently he moved to Visakhapatnam and presently working as Medical Officer, Sri Satya Sai Medical Centre, Visakhapatnam and having Business interests in Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad which includes Agriculture, Exports & Authorised Distributors for VOLTAS products in Air-conditioning.

Dr. VSVD joined Lionism in 1984 as Member of Lions Club of Visakhapatnam (Seethammadhara). Elected as Charted President Lions Club Visakhapatnam Vizag during 1984. He served the District as Zone Chairperson (1989-90), Region Chairman (1990-91) and District Chairman MERL Team and other faculties for number of years. During his tenure as District Chairman – Leo Clubs, the first Leo District Council of present District: 324 C1 was established during the Governorship of Late Lion P.V. Rama Rao.

Dr. VSVD as Chairman of Host Committee Lions Club Visakhapatnam Vizag Hosted three Leadership Seminars consequently for three years in combined District 324 C1, number of Regional conferences, District Cabinet Installation, District Conferences and Mid-Term District Convention of our District: 324 C1 during 1999-2000. Dr. VSVD attended ISAAME Area Forum at Dubai 2-5, December 2010, Seminar Lions Leadership Institute at Colombo – Sri Lanka, 20-23 January 2011 and International Convention at Seattle-USA, 4 – 8 July 2011.

Dr. VSVD received Lion of the District Award twice and Multiple Best President award besides number of District and Multiple Awards. He also received number of International Awards including 2 International President Leadership Medals, 7 International Appreciation Certificates, 5 Extension Awards, and 25 Year Charter Monarch award.

Dr. VSVD, a Melvin Jones Fellow is happily married to Tulasi Devi and blessed with a son Vijaya Saradhi, a daughter Sasi Priya and son-in-law Bobba Srirama Kalyan.
